The largest US turkey producer had a primary clarifier that was failing and forcing them out of compliance. FRC brought in a rental DAF for proof of concept for our solution. The permanent system was then designed using reactor tanks upstream of the DAF in order to adjust to the large change in flow rates. The existing clarifier was repurposed as a temporary equalization tank until a proper equalization system could be installed. The existing rotary drum screen remained for removal of coarse solids.
Stormwater Runoff: Product Solution
This client is one of the largest global petroleum refiners, processing 366,000 barrels of crude oil per day at one of the largest refineries in the US. They needed a system that could handle high volumes of storm water runoff in a small footprint while still allowing them to stay in compliance. FRC provided a Shell-DEP CPI that met their treatment requirements.
Automotive Application: Turnkey Solution
One of the world’s leading manufacturers in the construction and resources, and energy & transportation industry has an automotive axle assembly plant that produces wastewater volumes of over 500,000 gpd with extremely high levels of Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). FRC designed a solution that allowed them to meet discharge requirements for FOG of less than 100 mg/L and TSS of less than 300 mg/L. Using dual-stage treatment, oil was recovered using a FRC CPI oil-water separator prior to a DAF system to bring the client to compliance. FRC has implemented this solution at multiple sites for this client.
